The fight was won by technical knockout within 3 minutes of the first round. This was the first ever time a woman competed for a title title with any major promotion worldwide. Namajunas had a number of wins following the fight, and she received the title of Performance Of The Night by UFC for her victories over Joanna Jedrzejczyk.
